Travel and Accommodations
TRAVELING TO CHICAGO
Chicago has two main airports O’Hare International Airport (ORD) and Midway International Airport (MDW). O’Hare (ORD) is the larger airport and handles most major airlines with extensive domestic and international flights. Midway (MDW) is smaller and a great hub for those who prefer to fly with Southwest Airlines.
GETTING TO THE CITY
Once you’re in Chicago, you won’t need a car. Both airports have easy access to ride-share options such as Uber and Lyft, which can be requested directly from designated pickup areas. Expect the trip to downtown to take 30–60 minutes, depending on traffic. Taxis and public transit (the CTA “L” trains) are also available if you prefer an alternative.
